FOWLER, KS – The Kansas Chamber has once again recognized Senator Tim Huelskamp in their 2009 Pro-Business Honor Roll.
A farmer and rancher from Fowler, Huelskamp was one of only 24 Kansas senators to receive the accolade.
According to their release, "These legislators recognize the necessity of a strong business climate to help the state's economy recover and flourish ... Additionally, the Honor Roll represents those legislators who consistently worked to strengthen our state's economy by promoting sound business policy in their committees, through their communications, and by their efforts both in Topeka and in their home communities."
"I'm hoping to take my proven record as a pro-growth leader in Kansas to the U.S. Congress, where I can make an even greater contribution to the lives of Kansans," said Huelskamp.
The Chamber also noted that, "We applaud the 2009 Pro-Business Honor Roll for working with the majority of legislators to move this agenda through the statehouse, achieving better economic policies for Kansas."
Huelskamp has previously honored as a Pro-Jobs Legislator by the Kansas Chamber and endorsed in multiple legislative elections by the Kansas Chamber PAC.
Huelskamp is a candidate in the 1st Congressional District of Kansas. He has been endorsed by a long list of state and national leaders, including former Governor Mike Huckabee, former Congressman Jim Ryun, Ken Blackwell, Kansans for Life, Concerned Women for America, Gun Owners of America, and dozens of his legislative colleagues.
